Just an additional year of Vettel OWNING Alonso in 2014 again. Oh, yeah, Alosnso gets the most out of his car every week, just like he did at the Malaysian GP last month. I can't say his name or this will get edited......

@richard

From the looks of it, this see more like an extra year added to his previous contract(possibiliy to counter any pre-contracts). If anything I wouldn't be suprised if RBR has plans for his contract his continues to performs well.

IMHO Webber won't win a WDC title. He can't even finish in second the WDC, so how can he win the drivers championship. And sometime mark commits rookie mistakes like the one he recently did in Canada where he got in tangled up with a back marker.
We can only gauge Vettel's talent if he is paired with a driver of equal talent on the same car that he is driving. A driver that can trade punches with him during a race.

Sorry Richard, no RedBull car has ever been built around Mark Webber. That's what you get when you are team leader.

5 years, haha. 5 years working for one of the teams, yes you are right there.

@gms26

Vettel was so dominant in italy 2008 with that Ferrari powered Redbull car in the wet, Bourdais even qualified 4th, would have finished second too I bet, had it not been for an offtrack or three. Clearly an excellent car, Redbull itself was 10 points behind that season!

@BUGOY

Where was Webber's rookie mistake? If you are referring to Van De Garde's daft, clumsy mistake at the Hairpin, you are more one-eyed than the other Vettel lover in this thread.

giveway (I guess that you are an aussie?). a car is designed as a base and then fine tuned around an individual driver. no car is specifically designed "to suit" one driver over another.
and taking your "logic" further, are you saying that knowing a teenager was going to drive one of their cars, newey then decided to design a car specifically to suit that driver? get real! in 2009, there is no doubt whatsoever that webber was the team leader.
