Idiots, the lot on this page, that's what Lulu would have said if he reads these posts.
He wanted that seat so much, may be not first chose but second for sure. And if anybody doesn't believe the above go ask MR F1.

Although the Kimi may look towards RBR, and will be considered, I suspect that he may well stay with Lotus who let him do what he needs to do, although would make RBR a force to be reckoned with in regard to the constructors.

The 2 TR drivers I don't feel are anywhere near good enough to take the RBR seat. TR have only just managed to get its firsth 6th place finish since Vettel left them.

Paul Di Resta has had his contract opened should a top team spot become available for him, his performance shows he does have some form of potential and could quite easily sit in the number 2 seat at RBR.

@Biggerthinking1, @MaddMe - you can't compare Vettel's Torro Rosso win with Ricciardo and Vergne. It most definitely was not "the same car". For Vettel's win, the team gambled on a wet set up and it payed off and the car was a Red Bull chassis, not a genuine Torro Rosso car like the regulations now require.

The Ricciardo detractors on here have short memories. Do you not remember his 2010 Young Driver Test at Abu Dhabi, where he annihilated the field? That included going more than 1.6s quicker than experienced test driver Gary Paffett in a McLaren that was only 0.03s behind the Red Bull's pole time in Q3. Vettel was only 0.03s quicker than the next best - Ricciardo was well over a second quicker on the first day and exactly 0.7s quicker on the second day.

He also consistently out-performed the regular Torro Rosso drivers when he was driving for that team in FP1 during 2011.

The kid is a star, it's just damn hard to show that in a pretty crappy STR7 or STR8.

If Paul chooses to go believe me 2014/2015 will be his last season in F1. They dont want such stupid driver in RBR. They mean only business and they will throw him out as soon as they get a good driver like Kimi or any top driver. Only Force India can continue with him.

@1Jez, I am very much aware that the Vettel STR win was due to a gamble on setup, but, his 4th, multiple 5th and 6th place wins were not purely due to setup. In this case my comment stands that since Vettel left STR, they have only finished in the top 6 once, yet Vettel (discounting the win) managed higher places.
