@MaddMe - Yes, Vettel managed higher results - in a Torro Rosso that was half Red Bull. It is no longer an apples and apples comparison as STR build their own cars in toto. One must also consider the relative pace of the car against the rest of the field. This is why I used the 2010 young driver test as an example of Ricciardo's ability - the relative pace of the Red Bull was a known quantity & Ricciardo tore than quantity apart.

to the fangirls still crapping on about riccardo's 2010 young guns test - WHO CARES - its like using kindergarten records to guage university entry - its irrelevant after seeing data from the real game - he's been in F1 a quarter of a decade now and not even scored a top 6 finish. He's yesterday's news - just one of a long line of "promising" drivers to fail to deliver. NEXT!

@Biggerthinking1 - Neither Chilton or Bianchi have scored a top 6 finish, should they be considered as not good enough? And don't bleat on "quater of a decade" like it's an age, it's 2.5 years, which is wrong anyway - he came into HRT half way through the 2011 season, meaning he's had under 2 years as an F1 race driver. What was he supposed to do in an HRT, anyway? In fact, he's actually had only one and a third seasons in a Torro Rosso.

So to whom are you comparing Ricciardo's results? How can you gauge his talent when there's no way to know how the Torro Rosso stacks up in relative terms to the rest of the field? For all you know, it could well be a worse car than the Marussia and Ricciardo and Vernge are working miracles with it every weekend.
