"Riding the dirt on slicks and then hitting the asphalt sideways with dirt on the tyres was interesting, but mega fun!" - Scott Redding.

Chances are pretty high that we'll never get to directly compare Scott Redding with Marquez.

Why? Well, simply put the likelihood that Scott will ever get the same Team/Package/Budget on a par to have a truly level playing field... well, you'd not bet your house on it.

So chances are we'll never really, really know. If Scott got a factory HRC as team-mate with MM, then perhaps. But like I said - hard to see that ever happening, so like Smith, Iannone & Bradl, if Scott gets into MotoGP then he's at a disadvantage from day 1.

Well I was at Silverstone last year & witnessed Scott beat MM after an enthralling battle. That's my comparison.

I hope the gap between factory & satellite reduces to give riders like Redding a realistic chance when they arrive in MotoGP! Though I think he will be suited to the 1000cc bikes and predict that he'll do well.

Go on Scotty, I hope you can beat Pol and be the first British Champion since Barry Sheene!
