Lewis Hamilton: I'm so grateful for the work the engineers and mechanics did for me, and it's all down to them really.

XIII,
Talk about clouded judgement... You are suggesting that Lulu is the reason why Mercedes has turned a corner and started at the front from the first race this season? Do you mean that he is a genius and that he picks the world's most perfect setup in any situation and that has turned a mediocre car into a world beater? Nonsense. Its a combination of the world class people that Merc have hired working together to improve the car. Sure, Lulu is a good driver, but he is not in the league with Vettel and Schumi. I mean Jenson compared favorably to him. And now Nico has. So just how brilliant could he be?

First pole position at the German Grand Prix since Juan Manuel Fangio in 1954? That's an incredible result. I'm sure many Germans should be quite happy.

@XIIIth grade - It was Ducati's failure, not any shortcomings from Valentino. Look at its results now with Dovi, hardly any improvement.

@Ptolemy

The more you talk the more you hurt yourself..I know Merc is a world class company but why couldn't they achieve consistent success the past three years with Nico and Schumi??? Maclaren is also a world class company with Hi-tech facilities and fancy road cars but why are they struggling this season and can't turn the perfomance of the car around fast enough? Nico and Button are good drivers but they got extra motivated when they partnered with "Lulu"..They stepped up their game so give credit where credit is due.

Such bitterness here. If Lewis does badly, you lot are all over it with criticisms

If Lewis does well, you lot are STILL all over it with criticisms.

Ptolemy is a disgrace for referencing two wins to zero, willfully forgetting the very obvious tyre failure that cost Hamilton the victory in GB and the additional drivetrain failure on Vettel that was required to give Rosberg the victory. But it's all very predictable isn't it - the selective memories of those who hate Hamiltpn.

Fortunately it matters not a jot what the haters say.

Congratulations LH on pole, I'm a new subscriber on crash.net and have been reading these blogs for some time now and would like to know why there are so many Vettel haters out there? To me he's always been first to congratulate anyone who's bet him fair and square, sure he's not perfect but no one is! Or is it the finger that people don't like. Will be interested to hear some comments.
