There still a long long way from the front and I don't see that changing too much during the remainder of the season, they've missed the chance to revert to last's year's car and will have to make do with what they have, also most of their resources are going into next year's car so I don't expect much more improvement, not much fun for the drivers, I certainly would'nt be happy with sixth place, they might as well have stayed at home and watched Murray doing the job properly

Seriously, Mac should not be scrapping for "badly needed points"...like a Caterham or Marussia. Maybe some heads need to roll?

I LOLed the other day when I remembered Perez saying he was coming in to win this championship in his first season with Mac. Just like that lol

Yeah I remember some say Checco is going to do what Lewis couldnt do in his first season.

Button did say before the season started that this is the best McLaren he has had. I dont whats more needed more points or more grip

@ Jamal

You do realise Button said that before even driving the car, and he was going off technical data supplied from wind tunnel etc. So you can't fully blame him for being optimistic...

As for Checco, if the car was as good in comparison to the rest of the field as Lewis' was in 2008, I have no doubt things would look different. This year's Mac is CR@@@@@P!!!!!

Great drive Jenson it would have been even better if you had not been caught by that driver who's tires were worn, hope Mclaren can get you back into play as you are the 2nd best British driver on the grid.
