F1 » Hulkenberg scores, remains coy on contract rumours

Nico Hulkenberg refuses to comment on rumours that he has ended his contract with Sauber, but put himself in the shop window with another hard-earned point for the Swiss team at the Nurburgring.

Oh dear, my team is not doing too well. And here I was thinking Force India was going to be the next team to go. This could really stagnate Nico's career, if he can't show off how good he is.

I think he'll be alright...he clearly has talent, he's still only 25 and he has links to all the good teams in that he's German, has been linked to Ferrari for years but has also lived in England for a couple years as a (test)driver for Williams.

One way or another he's bound to end up in a good team.

Whatever happened to the days when things got tough and a driver got his head down and worked it out with his engineers? I guess those days are long gone, with all the restricted testing and stuff.

With this constant changing of teams, Hulk is beginning to look like a journeyman driver, no matter how good he really is!

Hulk's move to Sauber looked quite smart in January especially as Force India were looking decidedly wobbly - almost as smart as Perez's move to McLaren.
Can't see him going anywhere mid-season unless Lotus dump Grosjean which is highly unlikely now.

Also, Kobayashi is waiting in the wings to pounce on one of these seats...possibly Kimi's if he does to RBR. Still can't believe he found it difficult to find sponsors in all of Japan. Kobayashi is out of F1 and Chilton is in. LOL

And then there's Kovalainen...

Why is it that the media overhype Hulkenbergs acheivements. Wow he got another point! Yippedee doo! The car is poor indeed, but I bet if Kobayashi had been driving it this year they would have more points on the board.

Speaking of which, I hope to god Hulkenberg's potential move to a *4th* team doesn't block Kobayashi's return to the sport. I don't think I can cope with another year of drivers without any real instincts for overtaking unless they're using DRS and it's on a very long straight.. C'mon!
