As great as that is in regards to safety (and I totally understand any effort to improve in that area) that is not really great news for viewers cus some of us watch f1 for the technical/mechanical aspect just as much as the on track racing. I hope theres gonna be a ton of cameras mounted around all the garages to make up for this, but who knows and I'll just have to wait until Hungary to see what this is gonna look like.

In 20/20 hind sight having people in the Pit Lane without protection seems a big risk.

Seems a good plan by Bernie to make the Camera Guys a lot safer.

Wishing Paul Allen a speedy recovery and return to work.

Garages don't count as the pit lane so cameras can still whirr there.

As the crew and cameramen (on the pit wall) now all have to have helmets on, what about making the rest of the pit wall personnel wear them.
We could then be saved the unnecessary and often badly timed shots of team principals smirking and scowling. It's a matter of safety you see.
