This is brilliant! Best news I've heard all day. Great to see the Red Bull (A1) Ring return to the calendar as its one of the greats and what better place to be racing near the Austrain Alps.

Hopefully this means they're dropping somewhere such as Korea.

I always loved the A1 ring circuit on Zeltweg. It produced some dramatic races and the weather is a bit unsettled. I hope that Red Bull hasn't changed it to much because I love its long straights followed by turns which you need massive breaking. It will be perfect for the new 2014 cars with engine performance being important at least as aerodynamics look to be now.

What's with all the love for this track? I became an F1 fan after the last Austrian GP, so I've not seen any races there and I'm just looking at the track layout - it looks so freaking boring! There are only two left turns and the layout is straight, turn, straight, turn, straight, turn... there's no flowing section with a swift change of direction.

No thanks...

@1Jez - I take it that you don't like Monza either? This is a beautiful classic track. It may be a shadow of it's former self but it is far better than many of the more recent additions to the calendar such as Korea or Bahrain.
