The pace on the track proved as scorching as the temperatures in Budapest as Lewis Hamilton succeeded in pipping Sebastian Vettel to pole position at the Hungaroring.

What a talent Lewis Hamilton is! Jesus, this guy had pole and didn't even know he had pole.

He said he was surprised because the lap didn't particularly feel like a good lap.

Take that Vettel and all the Hamilton haters!

@Slickmagic or it could be the fact that, you know, the Mercedes is THAT fast.
Lewis did a lap he felt was far from perfect yet he beat Vettel, who did a near perfect lap.

Not saying Lewis doesn't deserve the pole, he definitely does, but Vettel did the better lap in my opinion.
