It was clear that Lewis Hamilton could hardly believe his ears when the Mercedes pit wall told him that he'd won pole position in Hungary with an astonishing effort to pip Sebastian Vettel.

Its just a bloody shame that Lewis wont hold the lead for long as the W04 will just eat the Pirelli's. This has been a problem for the Mercs team for a while now and Ross and his team has failed to resolve this problem. I think it is time for Paddy Lowe to make solving this problem his baby, as he has shown his ability in the past of getting McLaren out of trouble when they had tire, brake and set up issues last year.

This tyre problem has been with Mercedes for over three years, I am not saying that they at Mercedes will not solve this problem but would like to remind some people that Ross Brawn and his top engineering heads are for sure as competent as Paddy Lowe.

Rob, from the way the tyres behaved I don't think it was a one-off.
And do you seriously believe that Lowe had any input of sorts yet?
As I always stressed on here and that was regardless of the achievements, Mercedes (Ross Brawn) has managed to get together the strongest set up of the whole grid and that pre Paddy Lowe.
