Car 08 (Crosjean) had sustained floor-stay damage (fracture) and as a result did not pass the floor deflection test by 5mm, sister car 07 (Raikkonen) passed the test with no damage to the floor-stay.
It is reasonable to except that a damaged car will not pass a test, the car will be tested again after the race when it would have had the fractured floor-stay replaced.
Why does some people find it hard to reason in an objective way?.

@107
Knowing that it is unacceptable to point out spelling mistakes, sometimes it is necessary, especially when it completely changes the meaning.
"except that a damaged car ..."
should read "accept that a damaged car... ".
In its original form, the meaning is the opposite of what is intended..

Mrfill, thanks for your attention and glad that you got the intended meaning.
Rob, fully agree, but then rules are rule, all four wheels were off the track and when that happens I believe that the place would have to be given back.
