"Not having a car to race..."
Whilst this was publicised before the race, it was also the general consensus of opinion amongst the various presenters across Sky and the BBC, that the Mercedes would most likely go backwards. Remembering that Mercedes missed the Young Driver Test with these new tyres, it is not completely incomprehensible that Lewis genuinely thought he would go backwards as has been the case for the season to date.

It was a race into the unknown for Mercedes nevertheless a controlled drive, with aggression when required, has given Lewis an elusive win with Mercedes. In all honesty dispatching Button was key. Had Seb not taken so long to pass Button it may have been a different story. Nevertheless it is what it is. Slightly more concerned with just what is going on at Ferrari. Onwards to Spa!!

Epic weekend for lulu with him passing Fangio on number of poles and equalling Schumi's record at Hungary and then winning with a car that is behind the Red Bull and Lotus. Well done son.

Great race from Lewis ... he made the needed on-track passes, Vettel didn't. Good consistent drive from Kimi, although I am sure he would rather race than conserve tires. Thanks to Grosjean for adding a lot of interest to what is sometimes a boring race. He is fast no doubt and may be just about ready to keep things under control for a whole race. Also good runs from Webber and Button. Ferrari??? Were they present?

Pcmax and Shrieker same people. Good win for Hamilton but one win doesnt make a championship. Vettel will always prevail over Hamilton. Good drives by Raikonnen and Grosjean (Who I believe will get better and better)

hmmmmm,
pole position, flag to flag victory = decent drive ....Taipan, sometimes you can be sooo succinct in your praise and admiration
IF he was sandbagging, I guess he's the only one that does ?!!!
it was a good drive and you know it, you just can't bring yourself to admit it you'd rather come up with some negative old tosh

Before you fanboys wet yourselves have a reality check.

He won a race from pole at a track where there is little overtaking. When he did overtake anyone he was on far newer tyres in a much faster car.

Now if Vettel had done that would you all be squealing "great drive"? No you wouldn't so stfu and stop embarrassing yourselves.
