Kimi Raikkonen managed to survive the final stint of the Hungarian GP on worn tyres despite intense pressure from Sebastian Vettel - and said afterwards he never doubted he could do it.

I admire Kimi since long ago but I think his cool blood in the race has also been sustained by the fact that he was well aware of the state of Seb's car. He knew that Button has already been a tough nut for Seb.
And not the least : excepting somehow qualifying, he knew that the two cars were essentialy the same in performance at that point of the race.It could have been a different story if it was Alonso instead.
2012-Leave me alone , anybody ?

He is cool, calm and totally in control on race day. I wish he would get hotter, agitated and a little out of control for qualifying, it would make for much more interesting raceing. No doubt though, a class act all round.

The Kimi Vettel dual was the reverse of the Hamilton Kimi dual on the same track last year with the driver on the older tires being able to hold off the quicker car on fresher tires. Just shows that Kimi and Hamilton have brilliant defence qualities.

once hamilton made his final stop for fresh rubber, kimi lost about half a second over the final part of the stint on tyres that had done almost double the amount of laps, he drives fast, manages his tyres and doesnt get scared off the road by anybody. who wouldnt want him driving for fhem.
