F1 » Whitmarsh lauds 'inspirational' Button and Perez

There hasn't been much cheer for McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh in 2013, but as far as he's concerned the 'inspirational' example set by the team's drivers has been a glowing exception to the gloom.

Ambassadors for the team, inspirational young men? Can't imagine Whitmarsh saying this during tough times if Lulu was still at McLaren.

Can I park this thing
Who designed this car man?
I deserve better man!

And a few twitter outbursts as well no doubt, it may be a tough time performance wise for McLaren but at least they have 2 drivers who behave like team members rather than primadonnas.

If Ron Dennis and Martin Whitmarsh had not taken the last driver to give the McLaren team a WDC for granted and trying to cut his wages they would now have a driver who is capable of extracting the most out of this McLaren challenger.

What's happening now at McLaren is nothing more than karma for treating a raw talent with such disdain in thinking he had no were else to go. Well speedking has well and truly parked that McLaren Man and is off to a new team scoring consecutive poles and winning races while McLaren's ambassador is racing with Force India and Toro Rosso .

The last words mentioned by Martin on Lewis's departure was "we let Lewis down". referring to the teams incompetence in the pitlane and the unreliability of the 2012 challenger .

But the driver who was kept lost 2-1 in the season standing over three seasons and is now racing the likes of PDR and Sutil where the driver who turned his back on McLaren is beating E21 and RB9 cars driven by WDC in a car which is not as good as those cars mentioned .

Button fans need to get real saying that he did do a good job as a mobile chicane on Sunday.
