SHOCK NEWS
Guido van der garde won the Hungarian GP. As the 3rd slowest car on the grid (qv qualifying) we are reliably informed by FW14 that he won the race.
Pity but it seems they decided to award the points to Hamilton as his car was fastest in the race (and qualifying) and hence crossed the finish line first,

Apologies to VDG fans for getting you excited

Alright boss, fair enough, comments read and (sort of) understood. I'm not attacking Lewis. I'm not really attacking Jenson (I like neither). All I remember in 2009 is a radio message from Lewis on the ship-to-shore,

"the cars too frickin' slow, its like a frickin' boat, I cant even keep up with frickin Piquet (driving the renault)" - or something to that effect.

He finished like 4th in that championship. He should have finished way below that, he's just got the skillz to pay the billz is all i'm sayin'

I'll also quote Fernando.

well, not directly - but last year at Austin, Fernando pointed at lewis as his direct competitor, he said something along the lines of "when Lewis has a quick car he wins, when Lewis has a slow car, he wins". That was a covert pop at Seb, but he meant what he said.

That Mclaren has been crap for a decent few years now (considering what both Ferrari AND Mclaren were in '08.

Actually, i've just re-read ur comment, arent we by-and-large sayin

If Lewis had the fastest car, how come Rosberg's car went backwards?

Atleast people has been saying that Rosberg is faster than Lewis?

I could remember someone saying Lewis has to start from turn 8 just to get on the podium.

@ Bob

How could i forget the man that took Schumacher apart three years in a row . When it was announced that Lewis was going to the Silver Arrows team i really feared for Lewis as he was going up against for me the best German driver on the grid, and also going into Nico's backyard .

Lewis was not only fighting Nico on Nico's patch but he has had to challenge this guy while learning about the WO4 WOW!. How on earth was i to know half a season later Lewis would be leading this Teutonic Knight by a massive 40 pionts and would also be leading him in the pole stats. So no Bob i have not forgot Nico but i feel a bit of a turncoat for even thinking that Lewis would fall to one the fastest drivers over one lap. To Lewis if you are reading this forgive my lack of faith in your abilities .

Easily done mate. I read the title to this thread (i.e. Jenson hopes for a podium) and could hear Senna doing 10,000 rpm in his grave. What it should say is, "Jenson and Mclaren hoping to blow the rest away in Spa".

Jenson is only happy when the car is perfect, how many weekends in 19 or 20 are you going to get a "perfect" car. Lewis, as much of a whining little gangstaaaar as he is, always extracts the max out of a car. If we're talking the weekend just past, he was as surprised by the pace as anyone - i.e - he ragged the bollox off it untill he crossed the line. Thats what he does.

Cant see either Mclaren driver reaching the podium this season personally, Don't think either driver is a good enough qualifier to compete at the sharp end.

Also Hamiltons 2009 season was not as bad as people here are making out. 2 wins and 3 other podiums compared to Kovalainens NO podiums and NO wins in the same poor car!!
