I just read where Flavio has completely dismissed the Alonso to Red Bull rumour, which I think we all understood to be nonsense. However, his comment that Alonso would welcome any strong teammate at Ferrari was intriguing. This suggests that there may be some credibility to the Raikkonen to Ferrari rumour. I do think that with the significant prize money for team championship, Massa's days may be numbered with the red team.

Hi
#F1Rules No one is talking Webber because he won't be in F1 next year, you must have missed the memo:)
Alonso could go to any team he brings so much money it's not funny, but Alonzo to RBR Kimmi to Ferrari and Vettel to McLaren:)
Cheers Claes

A lot of the silliness in this silly season seems to be in the comments section here. Apparently a lot of people seem to think that KR is the son of god or something. I see him as a solid driver but no virtuoso talent like many seem to think. In particular, anybody who thinks he would be chosen over Alonso or Vettel is seriously deluding themselves. Alonso is the best driver on the grid, and Vettel is a triple and probably soon to be quadruple WDC. They are both in a different league to KR. Vettel has the love of his *real* bosses to the extent that he can ignore Horner's orders at will, and Ferrari would be insane to pi ss Alonso off - the only person who's been keeping them in contention at all. I expect KR will be at Lotus again next year.

If you look at this year's drivers interview be it Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso the one driver they all mention as a rock solid performer is Kimi. No one could ever run 26 points scoring finishes without a crash / mechanical failure. That is the biggest selling point Kimi has. He can haul points as much as possible with the equipment without throwing tempers around. His 2 years at rallying has really made him the patient focussed driver with ability to extract the best of the car in all circumstances. big difference compared to his prior stint where if the car is no good, he is nowhere good like at mclaren or at ferrari in 2009. kimi the juggernaut

Patient is one way of looking at it. But judging from his performance in his first year back, the main thing that KR took away from his rallying experience was an inability to pass anybody who wasn't on fire at the side of the road.

I have heard that Mclaren is planning a shake up and Jenson Button's seat is under threat even though he has a contract with them.

Perez will be kept because of his financial backing.

They may pay Jenson Button off. They need a quality fast driver going forward. Not a tyre nurse.
