"Right now I'm in a good position to maximise the full potential of the car, exploring it and its limits more, trying to get the most out of every single detail."

Button has twice as many points as Perez at this point, so in what way is he maximising 'the full potential of the car'?

Doubt he'll ever be WDC but hopefully he'll prove me wrong. He's still very suspect in wheel to wheel racing...driving people of the circuit doesn't always work.

hes scored points in a car thats worse than the car he was in last year. hes outqualified and at times outraced his world ex-world champion team mate, and he's crashed into people, he may not be at the level of a vettel or hamilton, yet vetel spent the first part of 2008 appearing to crash into anything and everything. he's going to be measuring himself in equal machinary to a world championship winner next race, something vettel has never had to do.

I usually love the "he's still only a kid" or "he's still only 20-something and learning" arguments. The trouble with that argument is that not much learning happens when the "learner" and his team disagrees with the point that he shouldn't be driving others off the track! That is not learning, that is just strong-headedness and stubborness.

Oohh, the irony.....

Besides, the "learning" kid said before the beginning of the season that he was planning to win the world championship this season. He didn't say anything about settling into a new team and learning.

I guess you live and learn....
