Sport Bild has reported that Raikkonen recently admitted to friends during an booze fueled party night out in Helsinki that he will be wearing red again in 2014.

Also reporting about the Helsinki party, broadcaster RTL suggested Ferrari has put a EUR 11 million contract on the table for Raikkonen to consider, including bonuses and sponsorship of his motocross team.

I hope this is true, such a brilliant Kimi-like way to find out. Some teams or drivers do a press conference, some rumours get spread within the paddock. Kimi lets it slip on a bender with his mates!

So, it is shaping up like this. Red Bull have the best car. Ferrari have the most money. Lotus offers the most attractive lifestyle. All offer some degree of each. Kimi is in the middle of a bidding war and as always he will decide on his own terms and on his timeline. This leaves RB and Ferrari making all kinds of statements as to why they are delaying their driver decisions as necessary.
