"smart money" sees Kimi signing with Lotus? We are very close to giving him what he wants? Based on the interview I heard from Kimi, what he wants is for you to pay him what you owe him before you promise more. Lotus management should quit telling us how "close" they are and pay up. The Red Bull door is not closed or else Riciardo would have been announced already.

Speaking to James Allen in the build up to Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix on Australian Network 10, Webber said, 'The decision is made. We all know who it is. I'm happy with that decision. It's good for him and it's good for Australia. '

Kimi in reality has no better options than Lotus. Well he might have had an option at RBR if he was going to drive their on the cheap but even then I think at RBR, much like at Ferrari, they don't really want to have two competitive drivers in the team without a clear no 1. and no 2. status. Ferrari is just more honest about that nowadays, while RBR still wants to pretend both drivers receive equal treatment. For this same reason I don't see him signing at Ferrari, Luca di M. won't allow it and has been vocal about not wanting to have two roosters in one team. Would be great if it did happen...but it would take a complete break from the usual Ferrari way.

McLaren needs Perez' money, wants to keep Jenson with Honda coming along and is too much of a straitjacket for Kimi.

Lotus or bust then for Kimi.
