Giedo van der Garde may not have been able to capitalise on his unexpected qualifying position at the Belgian Grand Prix, but still claimed a step forward for Caterham.

A great continuation from the form he showed in Hungary. Sadly you could see at the beginning of the race just how much faster all the other cars really are compared with the Caterhams and Marussias in the dry. Still, to pull away as far as he did from Bianchi was great and the reward was to finish in front of Maldonado.

After the Kovalainen experiment proved yet again to be a bust, I think Caterham will be looking to sign both drivers again for next year pretty soon.
