Paul di Resta came close to taking a maiden pole position on Saturday, but his weekend ended on a definite low note when contact with Pastor Maldonado annihilated the back of the Force India.

Anyway FI hasn't finished a season better than sixth place in the final constructors standings. So is not bad at all. I don't see a threat from behind them now. They have some advantage to Toro Rosso. Sauber and Williams are just nowhere.

That's the only thing I saw of the race and I'm gutted for di Resta!

I constantly ask myself why is Maldonado still in F1? He clearly has no special awareness and if he was trying to enter the pits after running wide with so many cars around him well... THAT'S JUST PLAIN STUPIDITY!

If Paul is a driver that thinks he should know that 3 cars going into 2 sharp corners theirs more likely to be a collision, he should know that he is meant to pick his spot, but he was so desperate chasing Adrian Sutil, who went in front of Pastor who is coming back onto the race track.

There are some basic things you just can't teach an F1 driver. Knowing he was coming into the pits, Maldo should have glanced in his mirrors as he came up to the bend, let the others fight for those positions and calmly cruised into the pitlane. That is what a Kimi or Alonso would have done, for example. Fight the right fight on the track.
