These guys make the best jokes.

But seriously
- Sauber doesent need hes money if the Russia deal comes thru

- Paul Di Resta is not gonna get that call from big teams, Force India is gonna keep both drivers

- Williams is keeping both drivers, maeby Maldonado wants to leave, but he has no where to go

So there you have it folks, its Caterham, Marussia or out of F1. I dont know with this guy if he deserves to stay in F1. Hes losing to team mate, sometimes matching hes speed but it seems in my eyes that Pic has lost hes speed from last year to... And just as I wrote that I realice that he should be out of F1...

"management talks to several teams"..... what that means is that his management team are going around waving cheques in front of needy teams. the only team that is desperate for such money is marussia, and I reckon that daddy Chilton is waving a bigger cheque. mind you, if bianchi does progress (at least he would deserve it), then there could be a seat available there?

but in reality, vdg does not deserve a seat on merit.

Sometimes he's been completely useless (Canada comes to mind) but he's had some favourable moments too. However I think he needs a lot more of those if he is to deserve a seat in a midfield team on merit. And I doubt that will happen. If you look at his career as a whole, to me it looks like he's a very good racer but just not quite up there with the very best.

Ha I see one of the usual suspects who was awfully quiet after the qualifying and race performance of vdG in Belgium is here to pile on his usual hate again. Apparently he's talking to a decreasing number of people who agree with him though.

Anyway realistically I don't see vdG move up the ladder, at least not yet. His performances this year have shown more highlights than Pic, but so far Pic has been more consistant (maybe expected with a year of experience under his belt). I think better teams look more for highlights as it might be a promise of more to come...we'll see how the rest of the year goes.

His best bet is probably to do another year at Caterham, I'm sure they'd like to retain him, hope for a slighly more competitive car and then look what's possible after next year. For now the seats have more or less been taken or are at least spoken for.

@sodesu...

Yeah well much like his F1 carreer so far there have been highlights and low points.

As a karting Super A worldchampion and WSBR champion at least he has won championships, but he was a bit unlucky after he won the WSBR championship. He signed two 3rd driver roles with both Spyker and Super Aguri at the time, obviously not a smart move and in the end neither came to fruition, so he went to GP2.

GP2 is tough. If you're not in the right team at the right time it's bye bye F1 dream for most. His first year was actually quite good (1 feature race win, 2 sprint race wins, thrashed teammate) but it went wrong the 2nd year versus Perez. Perez was quicker most of the times and vdG had a faulty engine for 2 weekends. He got a new engine but two weekends points worth down the drain. The 3rd year started off well, but then Bianchi punted him off the track in consecutive races. 4th year he kind of mirrored the first year, but so far Alex Rossi hasn't shown more in the same team.
