Therein lies the crux of the problem.
Since motorsport is only a portion of what the FIA oversee, there is no requirement for the president to come from a motorsport background ... or even like it.

Recipe for disaster ...

No. Crash.net I think you will find most Italians first names end in 'O' and second names end with 'I' ...Ricciardo is his second name you*****. Rossi...Trulli ..Melandri...Simoncelli...Fenati...Ferrari...Corsi
First names ending in O
Valentino...Marco ....Romano....Jarno...etc etc
