Off topic, there's a report on F1.co.uk suggesting that Monza marshals are threatening to strike due to unpaid travel expenses going back to Monza last year.

That's the last thing we need, pay them what they're owed FFS.

I think Mexico is in place to cover for New Jersey if it falls through again. Tilke still has to finish New Jersey, Sochi and now Mexico. Is there not another racetrack architect in the world?

Yes Tilke tracks definitely generally suck IMO as well. Lots of stop-go, extremely long straights that are meant to facilitate overtaking but only really do that with the help of DRS...

But Vettel likes them though. If you look through the years these tracks are mainly where he gets the points on Webber. At the old tracks with a bit of flow (silverstone, spa, suzuka) Webber usually beats or matches him but these Tilke tracks Seb just rides the curbs really harder and thrashes the thing around a bit and it works for him.

CotA, Sepang and Turkey is/was ok. The rest of them suck, particularly Bahrain and Valencia but Shanghai, Yeongeam and India aren't far behind in suckage level.

At least 1 of these races will be dropped...maybe 2. Really hope the race in Korea is the one that gets dropped, its boring and pointless.

I thought all the recent talk about New Jersey was just posturing by Bernie in order to get his money, but its looking pretty doubtful the race will happen. Don't think the Mexico race is covering it either...I thought New Jersey would be scheduled after Canada given the close proximity? Doesn't make sense to have it back to back with Austin....if F1 really wants more fans in the U.S. then having the "Grand Prix of America" followed by the "United States Grand Prix" may be a bit confusing to people who don't follow it closely. It would be interesting to see a race in New Jersey in November though...it can get pretty cold around that time!
