F1 » Vettel hails 'fantastic win' in Monza

It seemed like the win had never been in doubt, but Sebastian Vettel had to overcome a fierce fight into T1, flat-spotted tyres and gearbox issues during the Italian GP - and afterwards face resounding boos from the Tifosi.

@Murhp64

Agree totally, after the win in Torro Roso I knew he was going to be a champion.

Everyone says its the car, but I disagree, Webber has done very little in the same car.

Vettel is going to be one of the true greats of F1.

Suspect Vettel would be pretty much as successfull in any of the other top 2 or 3 cars. Doesnt make mistakes, puts quick laps in when needed, can race toe to toe, qualifies well and obviously gets the best out of a good car.
Real fan of Webbers but in truth he hasnt anywhere near matched Vettel - If the car is so good, why hasnt he ? He cant be that bad a driver can he ? In the past dominant cars finished first and second almost every race.
Vettel is that good. Like it or not.

What??

In F1, the margins of victory and defeat can be very tiny. How many times over the years have we heard the words that Mark has no KERS, no this and no that. Yesterday he had Alonso in his sights for that 1-2 and he had to start short-shifting.

Vettel is a great and dominant champion, but Webber is not as bad a driver as he sometimes looks on TV. All is not always what is appears on paper, when final results are announced.

Plus he has always brought home the points to ensure WCC titles for Red Bull, but people easily forget that.
