Stefano Domenicali: 'I think that, even for Felipe, the time had come to look outside what had become his home for twelve years and which, to a certain extent, will always be his home'

I'd like to see Massa in another team next year. He may be able to enjoy his racing and drive at his best again once he is away from the limelight, pressure and expectation that he's experienced at Ferrari in the last two or three years.

Googs, I think you're completely right, without the pressure of Ferrari and the pressure of Alonso Felipe may well loosen up and do really well for another team. Knowing that you're the second driver, testing parts, being asked to pull over can't be good for anyone's motivation.
I'm not blaming Ferrari for that policy or feeling sorry for Felipe for suffering at it's hands, lets be honest if Felipe had beaten Alonso from the outset he would have been number one and benefited from the lead driver policy, as he did in 2008 when he out performed Kimi.

LOL Taz, and it's still fooked! :(

FERRARI should be lauded at least by the genuine and serious F1 follower for the second to none support they gave to Felipe during his difficult period in F1.
Good luck Felipe, your loyal and outstanding behaviour while it lasted at FERRARI will be hard to match.

Sunny, Yes the loyalty and respect between Massa and Ferrari has certainly been mutual.

The way Felipe handled losing the 2008 championship summed up just how great a sportsman he is.

The way he handled "Fernando is faster than you" summed up how great a team player he is.

The day after his accident I sent an email to him wishing him a full and speedy recovery and within a couple of hours I received a very kind and personal reply from one of his family members. That sums up the Massa family.
