Taz i dont believe Vettel is 1 second quicker than the drivers I have mentioned. There is a reason to why Vettel is finishing in front of drivers who are his equal or maybe better by such a margin.

I was a young boy the last time i saw a car finishing ahead of the rest by such a margin the car was the FW14B which guess what, was designed by the current Red Bulls Cheif Technical officer.

Just giving credit where credit is due.

Crutchlow (etc) Think you will find Cal is about 5th.
Anyway - So you think Vettels efforts are purely coincidental? The fact he soundly beats his team mate time and time again is also coincidental ? Actually its simply because hes currently the best driver in F1 and yes, he has a car to do it in but so has Hamilton, Rosberg, Alonso, Massa, Raikkonen and so on.

Tomcol it doesn't PROVE that he's the best. It does however prove he is better than his teammate.

Stick Vettel in a current Merc alongside Hamilton or Rosberg, a Ferrari with Alonso or frankly the Lotus with Kimi and see how he does. He's good, but not the best, not until he's won in a car not quite so utterly dominant anyway

How many one two finishes red bulls have had this year? Let alone in the past 2 years. How faster is Vettel faster then his teammate? It's not all about the car. When he was new to the sport everyone was talking about how fast the kid is and now it's the car.

As Jackie Stewart said in his commentary in P2 Vettel is a smooth driver in all conditions & doesn't seem to over drive the car like Hamilton does.
Vettel doesn't have to prove to me he's most likely the quickest driver in F1 today, I have a memory from the past 5 years not like some people writing in this column.
