Give the bottom end of the grid the opportunity to race with the V8's and ditch KERS w/out the weight penalty :) This will take care of TWO problems for them :)

Wonder who decided it would be nice to ask teams to use the gimmick motors, if I had to guess its probably some where near Ferrari and the FIA.

PCXmerc, So if you start the season at the back you get a V8 then 3 races later when you're near the front you have to change your engine to something smaller?

Oh that's a genius way to save money!

They were just saying on the Sky coverage that the new engines will be vastly more fuel efficient, you should probably email them to let them know how wrong they've got things, tell them about your money saving plan while you're at it maybe they can get you sectioned as a result.
