Eric Boullier says Lotus isn't looking for a quick fix when it comes to replacing Kimi Raikkonen for 2014

I still find it laughable that 'turning on' is even an expression that should be used in regard to a potential no.1 driver. It shouldn't be able to be used at all because a no.1 is always on, not just in the last few races.

If Boullier is really looking for a long term driver then the likes of di Resta come to mind. Hulkenberg has to be a strong consideration for the job at least up until Ferrari have a place for him.

Of course, if McLaren doesn't sign Perez for next year then that could mix things up.

I have lost faith with Lotus. This talk just overshadows the real issue. They have yet to sign Infinity or gain greater factory support from Renault, both required to perhaps shop the driver they really want. This will drag on and then they will "settle" on the Hulk, who will come reasonably priced, I think. He will be fine but I suspect they still hope to sign a race winner (other than Massa).

A race winner other than Massa...yeah but who would that be then? The only active other F1 driver besides Massa that is still available is Pastor Maldonado and he has a competitor oil company backing him.
