In the early part of the shoot-out a commentator asked “Vettel finds even more time lapping in 1min 37.202, can anything be done to stop the German?” and somebody promptly tweeted, yes any of the top eight can by switching on their traction control map!

That post qualifying group photo was comical - & revealing ...
Lulu with his fancy new black cap with a peak flatter and wider than his Mercedes rear wing, his tinted shades, diamond studs, groomed facial hair, etc. For him its all about how he looks, & the driving is just a way for him to be famous.
Vettel with helmet hair, unshaven, no frills. His head is in the game, he's there to drive for results.

No, the traction control map which they too have was switched on the problem was they at Mercedes didn't follow the physics teacher instructions and have left out the yellow wire disconnected, they probably lost concentration as a result of Lulu's new smashing/cool look in the new cap!

It will be a bit of a lottery in the race with the question mark over the weather and no real sense of how long the tyres will last for the different teams. This could work to Mercedes' advantage - which won't help Alonso though.

Its not the Merc thats inconsistent Blood, its the driver, in Hamiltons case, who seems far more interested in his own image than his results.
What is consistent though is how Vettel consistently thrashes him.

tomcol- so what would you say about Rosberg, 30+ points behind Hamilton, 5-9 in quali.?

Tonly consistent car in f1 nowadays is Red-Bull- FAST in every circuit, low, high, mid. downforce. and yes, Vettel is making no mistakes.

Renault, Merc, Ferrari- fine in some tracks, slow in others.

Glad to see you spotted the troll up to his old tricks Crash.

So where did Vettel's much talked about 2.5 second car advantage go? Oh he's 2.5 seconds faster than the Williams is that what you were whining about?
