top three in the world with Spa and Monaco ...
Noooooooo really Monaco is awesome until the lights go green! There is no racing there Kimi - All went well with SUZ and SPA but Monaco has nothing to do with on track racing!

"Monaco has nothing to do with on track racing"

So driving a Formula 1 car within centimetres of crash barriers at speeds of up to 285 km/h while having to negotiate your way through other cars doing the exact same thing, has nothing to do with on track racing? Please pay a visit to your local doctor as soon as possible. Just because there isn't much overtaking, doesn't mean the track has no real racing. It's a different type of racing, the one where the fastest drivers put their lives at risk for 78 laps, pushing F1 cars to the absolute limit, knowing that one tiny error could cost them their race. That, is racing.

speedway. totally agree with you, Monaco is spectacular, but unfortunately it is not a race. at least not within the definition of what constitutes a race. get a pole when there are only up to 10 cars on the track, and plenty of clear space, and in effect the gp is over. never mind the barriers etc, the track is so narrow it is difficult to hit them in a dangerous manner, you just slide along a chute. I think that every driver wants to win there for the kudos, but every driver knows that any result there is really irrelevant to the entire season.

would I like to see it dropped? probably not. has it any relevance to f1? absolutely not.

Monaco has always been about who dares pass while "racing" and who runs out of talent while trying.
Look at Perez and Sutil this year and Kimi 16th to 10th also at the end of the race.
I'm baffled as to understand how this is not racing??
Just because the rest have been happy to wait and play follow the leader.

I don't know how anybody could justify saying that Monaco is a great circuit when you consider the fact like all street circuits its slow, boring and produce nothing a predictable/processional race.

Now if you were ask me personally Bernie need to drop all street circuits from the calendar and go back to running to purpose built circuits and just maybe we'll finally see some quality races again.
