Lulu is inferring that all depends on Brawn/the team and nothing depends on him, he promises not to touch (drive-on/put a wheel-on) the grass, he should have also promised not to put his foot in his mouth again after the race but he didn't as there is always the chance of a retraction of what he will say.

@Dr Thompson

If that was truly the case in F1 then Whitmarsh and Stefano Domenicali should both probably have been sacked, the less about Sam Michael the better.

The Mercedes management structure is pretty top heavy, who takes the blame? Wolff,Brawn,Lauda,Lowe.

None I would say as they have had a decent season (with the aid of the FIA and a little cheating) compared to last, if it all turns to custard in 2014 and the car doesn't deliver then it gets interesting.

lauda/brawn/wolf maybe wondering how,in the race to be best of the rest behind vettel and red bull, both their drivers are also behind alonso's ferrari 'and' raikkonens lotus, the merc qualifies well and has the ability to win races, the team have the master of 'in race strategy' on the pit wall, yet they are third in the constructors standing and best placed fourth in the drivers championship. they should really be a clear second in both competitions but for whatever reason they havent quite maximised their equipment as well as others despite brawn putting his neck on the block for them earlier in the season
