Romain Grosjean says he can't wait to race at his favourite circuit on the F1 calendar this weekend in Japan

I really like Romain Grosjean - after all the flack he's taken (probably deservedly) he's listened, settled down and got on with his drive.
Putting in some very good performances of late.

he was only beaten by the current world champion and his ex world champion team mate, and he can pinpoint almost exactly the point where he lost out to his team mate, 101 in the art of 'racing' from Raikkonen, hopefully he wont repeat the error if he ever gets another chance, a little like massa given alonso the chance to pass him in the pit lane again, or mark webber would probably keep a healthy gap over vettel in the closing stages of a race irrespective of what the team says :-)

Not sure he'll get a win this season but I agree that he is driving well. I think a lot of credit goes to the team as well for their support until he "found his feet" so-to-speak. I am not totally convinced that he can lead a team next season when Kimi is gone (does Kimi really lead though?) but if they can bring in a quality teammate to push him (like Nico H.), I think he will continue to be a contender and a frequent points-scorer.

Maybe so, but had that violent swerve maneuver on Kimi to prevent a pass gone all pear shaped - I don't think the team would have had the love they profess for him now.

Frankly, Massa or Hulk could easily fill his shoes to pair the backing bucks from Sirotken. And even if that doesn't materialize, Massa can carry some freakishly large financial backing of his own, with experience to boot.

Massa and Hulk would be just fine for Lotus in the interim .. probably a bit better than the teenager and the somewhat more mature, yet still questionable Frenchman.
