F1 » Webber 'won't hand the race over to Vettel'

Having claimed his first pole position of 2013, Mark Webber says that he has no intention of pulling over and handing a GP win to Sebastian Vettel simply to help decide the 2013 title.

We KNOW you won't "hand" the race over to Seb. You never did before in the previous 4 seasons. Even last year at the last race of the season after Bruno Senna rammed into the side of Seb's RB and Sebastian was locked in a Death Struggle, with a crippled car, and trying to stay ahead of Alonso in the points in order to win the championship. You made sure to stay in front of Seb in order to allow your "Personal Taximan," Alonso, to be able to steal the championship.
Why do you think you were "Multi-21ed?" That's why!
I'm gonna laugh my ass off if Seb is able to take you out WITHOUT his KERS on Sunay.
Meanwhile, lets see if you can even keep Lulu behind you.
You just love yourself when Sebastian has a crippled car.

It needs launch control to work ok first, and so far that has never been the case this season.
@ptolmey, get back on your branch, and hopefully we might get a half decent race for once between Mark and Seb...and Mark will get a good final couple of races.
Seb does not need to win now, just finish in front of FA.

I wonder (although somehow doubt it) if Red Bull are finally showing some decency towards Webber, al Vettel has to do is keep scoring points to be champion so by letting Webber win it is taking points off Alonso.

Going to be an exciting first few laps without a doubt. Hamilton is going to be going for gaps, Weber will be trying to lead his 'mate, and Grosjean the wildcard is right there. The we have a frustrated Rosberg ahead of Alonso and Raikkonnen well back, both going for spots before T1. I don't suspect Weber will have much choice in "handing" over anything to Vettel, it will be more of an issue of can he keep Vettel from taking it from him. This is sort of a throw away race for Vettel. He has no reason to risk anything, just stay in front of Alonso and all is good, so there is no pressure for him, other than his insatiable desire to win. Could be a last stint war in the making, assuming everything lasts that long, and Weber can get off the lights at the start.

Vollgas Sebastian. I bet you can stay in front of all of them WITH YOUR KERS OUT OF COMMISSION! Maybe not wipe them out like you have been doing. Just stay a couple seconds in front. Soon enough you'll be one of the ONLY 4-time successive World Champions F1 has ever seen. Only Schumi and maybe Fangio and Prost will be your equals.
Let Webber have it with both barrels!
