F1 » Vettel leads Red Bull 1-2 despite early setbacks

Victory was by no means assured after an unusually sluggish start, but by the time the chequered flag came out in Suzuka it was Sebastian Vettel once more in charge of proceedings.

What a great start by Grosjean, I would have really loved to see him win today! I hope Webber gets a win before his final season in Formula 1 comes to an end. Once again Vettel shows the field how it's done, he just has a way of getting pace out of a car without using up the tyres. Great job by the top 3 I loved watching it all!

What a joke, how that strategy played into Vettels hands again, Mark gave him 20+ seconds with an extra tire stop. Reminds me of the Schumacher stops versus Rubens stops to advantage the main man. I watched Mark up on the podium, he looked pis..d off, he knew he had been done over. Like Rubens said, working alongside Schumacher and all his team supporters was like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat each day. Must be hard for Mark, all the Kers incidents etc... lets take his front wing and give it to Vettel. Opps... here come the fanboys....

Thejackal, if Webber was pissed off I'm sure he would've let it be known. I think the only thing that annoyed him was that he couldnt of passed Grosjean a few laps quicker to capitalize on his strategy.

Redcorner, Ferrari (engines) have had 683 podiums, Ford Cosworth have had 535, Renault have 429 and Mercedes have 275.

Jackal, If Poor Rubens was being treated so badly at Ferrari why did he stay there for 6 years? I've got no time for his whining, he was destroyed by Schumacher and Ferrari backing anyone other than Schumacher would have been utterly stupid.

Eddie Irvine at all lol

Seriously though, Seb's got it in the bag just give him the darned trophy and be done with it. He would have to have at least 3 DNFs or very poor results and THAT ain't gonna happen.

Now Vettel has 297 points equal as the Ferrari team. This looks good on Vettel as looks bad on Ferrari. Vettel can win the constructors championship(for Red Bull) all alone this year. Impressive! But the fact is that neither of Red Bull's rivals could challenge them consistently this year. Now we can watch a nice scrap for 2nd in the WCC and maybe in the WDC as well.

What a Boring race. Poor hamilton. He could hv had a good chance. It could hv been an interesting race hadn't hamilton had a pucture. I think vettel should hv been given a drive through penalty for that.
