Pirelli issues a warning about its ability to provide tyres for 2014 unless it can carry out some winter testing

Funny how Pirelli were alot less demanding & far more open to discussing solutions before they had a contract for next season.

Since that contract was signed, they've been very opinionated.

Other sites are reporting this story as an ultimatum from Pirelli.
The problem with drawing a line in the sand / putting a gun to someone's head ... is that you need to be prepared to pull the trigger if they call your bluff.

Considering the historic lack of Italian bravery, might they be reversing on these comments sometime soon?

Something's wrong. The FIA should allow unlimited testing to ensure tyres are as safe as possible. Better still 2 (or more manufacturers) should be allowed to supply tyres.
