The difference between the softe compaund and medium compaund was more or less 1s. Webber was faster with the medium tyre than Massa and Raikkonen with the soft tyre, and Vettel was more than a second faster than them. Considering than on race pace Ferrari and Lotus are Red Bull's closest challengers, the gap between them seems to grow. I guess that Mercedes will go backwards as usual tomorrow and Webber should continue to get closer to the drivers in front of him, if his famous bad luck does not strike again. With a car like that, and with 3 rival teams that takes points of each other, it's not surprising that they has collected so much points.

Mercedes looked like they were doing their homework this round, I don't suspect they will fall back too much, their straightline speed is their achilies heel, despite the nonsense the reporters keep repeating day in and day out. This isnt a few years ago with in race refueling where the merc didnt have to worry about being fuel limited, and merc seem to be carrying more drag than average. Sauber and Lotus + Ferrari will be dangerous, but as long as the merc doesnt get it's pants taken off down the straight, the merc can hold its advantage.

Ghog, At least he's improving. It's gone from "Lulu for the win" every race to "I don't think he'll fall back too much" It took a while but reality seems to have set in at last.

pcxmerc. "the merc can hold its advantage"? what advantage? even if it had an advantage, it would require an exceptional driver to keep it, and unfortunately they only have nico who might have a chance

lulu for the sg (sour grapes!)

PCX I'd like to be first to congratulate you on your improved predictions.

You were half right, ONE of the Merc's didn't fall back in the race and being half right for you is a massive improvement. Well done kid.
