Mark Webber says he can't be too down despite failing to finish the Indian Grand Prix

As the commentators said... it's always Mark's car isn't it. I'm not even a Webber fan but must admit I am glad he is moving on to greener pastures. He has earned and imo deserves better. How is it that the Newey car never seems to work as well for another driver but Vettel. That is not a shot at Vettel but a criticism of RBR.

joat . you seem to conveniently overlook the fact that seb had kers problems in practice . thn in the race he had to turn off all electrics including kers. vettel has every bit as many problems as webber, but tends to be able to drive around them. vettels smooth driving is less hard on his car.
if you feel there is a conspiracy, maybe you should lodge a formal complaint with fia, after all, you seem to know more than any other person in f1!

Richard, I can't believe that you're saying Joat knows more than anyone else in F1 have you forgotten PCXmerc? Easy to do though he's been as quiet as a mouses fart today (thankfully)

Mark seemed particularly chipper at the end of the race, I would have thought he'd be rather miffed.

Its happened that often lately that all he can do is laugh, if this guy didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any at all. Kind of frustrating seeing it always happen to him, hopefully he was still able to keep his chin up and celebrate with his team.

At some point these issues have to go beyond mere incompetence, when the vast majority of glitches seem to effect Mark's car. I think it's tacit negligence at the very least.

I think the smiling is probably cause he realises that even if he'd had a good year personally there would have been too much car trouble for him to become world champion. It kind of absolves him from the fact that in reality this year has been the weakest from him personally too.

Don't get me wrong I have no doubt that at least on a symphaty level the important figures in the team have always had Seb's back but at this point Mark is just picking up a paycheck...Maybe he's still hoping he can still take a victory in one of these last three races but I doubt it...at this point why not call it a day already, have Ricciardo do the last few races and Kvyat the last two for STR (after abu dhabi) to get their feet wet before next year...

The reality is (and it is human nature and common sense) that when one driver is on the verge of being 4 x wdc, his car will get extra attention. I don't think RBR deliberately cause Mark issues, but he is their second priority.
