Nico Hulkenberg: We were able to be in the top ten all weekend and I am confident this will continue to be the case tomorrow as well.

nice job hulk you are definatly one of my favourite drivers i just love the way you are up there with the so called "big boys" in a so called "sh*t car" this is ridiculous how f1has become such a money orientated sport because the skill of drivers like the hulk are being out done by the most sponsorship money... as for lotus deciding on the 2014 drive based on there own sponsership money coming through is beyond me hulkenburg is far much of a better driver than maldonaldo and has shown that all season i think the hulk has "outscored gutierez 87% this year i think that says something about a drivers ability..

The way of the lotus/renault/benetton team
1994/5 good years
Best driver leaves
Decline
Change team name
2005/6 good years
Best driver leaves
Decline
Change team name
2012/13 good years
Best driver leaves
..........

Time to change the name and go into a decline if history has anything to do with it.
How irritating would it be to Hulkenberg if he signed to another duff team?

It's ridiculous to call Sauber a "sh*t car", earlier in the season it was but lately it's one of the very fastest, it's the car who should get the credit for Hulkenberg's and Gutierrez's increased speed.

@marcus56 you say:
" it's the car who should get the credit for Hulkenberg's and Gutierrez's increased speed"
Gutierrez's increased speed??? please show me where that is then because he lines up 16th and hulkenburg is 5th!

Obviously the Q wasn't very successful with Gutierrez being caught in trafic on first try and ran out of time on the second try but if you wasn't so narrow minded and took into account the last races, the trainings this weekend and the race, he have closed the gap to Hulkenberg really much, now it's only 1-2 tenths. The car should get the credit, Hulkenberg is the same average driver he has been all his F1 career, he was good in F3 and GP2 though, hope he can get a drive in a good team with a fast team mate and you will all see.
