F1 » New Mercedes chassis for Hamilton


Lewis Hamilton will be racing with a new Mercedes W04 chassis for this weekend's United States Grand Prix, after large cracks were found on the car that raced in Abu Dhabi.

What? They knew the chassis was damaged but didn't repair it, or even check it properly until now? Is that what Brawn is telling us? Wow, no wonder he's been given his marching orders, because when it's all said and done, the buck stops with him.

@AVG. Surely you mean, thank god you now have a reason to excuse Hamilton's poor performances. Nothing will change, mark my words. Nico will continue handing it to him, but I'm sure you will find another excuse. First it was his brakes, then it was, hell I forget, now it's the chassis. I'm betting it'll be tyres next, or have we had that one already?

even ross brawn said that lulu has to try and match nico! not a ringing endorsement of his recent performances, is it?

by the way, I see that lulu has again ditched his senna helmet. it is a Michael Jackson one today!

Seems to me this is Mercedes F1 PR department making excuses to justify Lulu's overpriced retainer ... hoping that the board takes the bait.
