Talk about "shabby treatment" ! I feel sorry for him... last year Whitmarsh was going on about how they (McL) were going to mould him into a great driver (or words to that effect) and guide his career (ie a long -term view) after Hamilton finally decided he was leaving... looked like a "knee-jerk" reaction, but no, Whitmarsh was sure he (Perez) would adapt/grow etc. Then we had the "get -a-move-on" missive at mid season, to which he responded, and did actually up his game. Now he finishes ahead of golden-boy Button (who seemed very monosyllabic this weekend). Is this another "Knee-Jerk" decision by Whitmarsh? .. he seems to be looking for a "fall-guy" to take the flack for poor results. What happened to the long-term prospect Perez was touted as? I think he has done quite well, and at least up to the expectations of last year when they signed him, surely? No, it's Whitmarsh who should be going! (oh, and that Sam Michaels too - I reckon he's to blame for the poor car)

mclaren always say 'we will make him a better driver', perez always was going to have a tough time in a british team where the other car is occupied by a british driver who just happens to be an ex world champion and the most experienced driver on the grid, he will be better for the experience
