I think Michael Schumacher making that move to Mercedes in his second stint instead of a possible Ferrari drive can also figure in this list. The results may not have been much different though as Alonso demonstrated.

I really like these 6 of the best features.

The BAR / Pollock / Villeneuve association was comedy at it's best. CP and JV took being confident (delusional) to entirely new levels, they were openly certain to the point of being smug that they'd win the championship in their first year and subsequently never scored a point!
Craig B0llock even came up with the team's advertising strap line "A Tradition Of Excellence" no Craig A Tradition Of Bull Sh*t would be closer to the truth!

Taipan, maybe. I wonder why you would have your school teacher as your agent. I mean, if he was seventeen and his school 'teacher' was a 19 year old attractive lady, I could see why but not anything else.

I wonder after that shunt in Eau Rouge if Pollock gave Jacques an hour's detention after debriefing lol

Can there be a worse move than Senna to Williams? Signs with the team that had the unbeatable car on the previous season only to find that in the absence of electronics they'd built a truck instead??

EdOz, A truck that Dhill (one of the poorest champions in recent memory) won 6 races and scored 5 2nd places in and it won the constructors championship. It started the season as a tricky car but the team got their head around it after a few races, who knows what Senna would have achieved in it, more than Dhill I'm willing to bet.

Good article! to be continued.(no doubt) .... as they say on TV. I was also thinking about "poor old" Derek Warwick while reading it... another case of "wrong team, wrong time" kinda thing, and Button's near career-death with Honda ... fascinating stuff!
