Franz Tost insists that Jean-Eric Vergne needs to lead from the front as Toro Rosso pairs him with rookie Daniil Kvyat next season.

would like to see who comes out on top with these two, vergne has his moments and i've seen kvyat race (he looks very fast) but jean-eric couldnt keep up with ricciardo so hard to say! would like to see the rookie out perform vergne.

I still don't really see the point in the STR team. JEV could have a great season next year but he's only going to get a RBR drive for 2015 if Dan really bombs next year.

The teams aren't allowed to share information and technology these days so the STR team seems like an unnecessary cost to me. Wouldn't it make more sense just to run just a GP2 or 3 team as part of the young driver program?

I think for JEV if he can have a real good season next year he could possibly look at trying to get a seat in another team rather than RB, so it could be make or break for him.
