F1 » Vettel signs off the year with historic ninth

It's nine and done for 2013 for the remarkable Sebastian Vettel, although the final race of the season was a scrappier affair for the four-time world champion than usual.

I wish these clueless commentators would stop saying he's matched Ascari's record.

Ascari's record was over 2 seasons and he missed one of the races during the 9 consecutive wins. Look at it this way if Vettel hadn't turned up at Hungary he'd be on 10 wins in a row, but that's not how consecutive records work.

Great work from Vettel and RedBull, truly unbeatable this year! A fantastic effort from team and driver.

But all fingers and toes crossed that next year at least a few other teams produce a good car so we can actually see a fight for the WDC and WCC!!

Another season like 2010 will do just nicely thank you!!

The RB9 went past Nico without drs the car is in another league, Even Webber went pass Lewis with no drs never seen such a gulf of this magnitude between cars. How many wins would the likes of Alonso get if driving that Aero masterpiece.
