F1 2013 champion Sebastian Vettel believes that Red Bull's repeated success will make it harder for new signing Daniel Ricciardo to ease himself into Mark Webber's shoes.

While it is true that what Ricardo performance in his new seat will turn out to be like we will all have to wait and see, the fact is also through that the all new formula will put him at a much better position to start stronger and so nearer to his established team mate.

I agree with Vettel. When he joined RBR they had no prior success to be measured against. For Dan the expectations are now much higher and therefore there is added pressure. I think Dan will do okay but trying to stop Alonso and Kimi, or Lewis and Nico from grabbing the WCC will be hard.

When vettel joint RBR it was harder for him to measure up to his team mate as the rules (car wise) were the same and his new team mate had been over there and established, Ricardo has the advantage that both him and his established team mate will start off from scratch on a totally different set of rules (car wise). It should be born in mind that from next year contrary to many believe the driver will have much less work to do during a race.
the new rules for next year renders RBR prior success nil as a measure for a success for next year.
