He's fast, has personality and most importantly earned the seat in the world championship team because he's not "well funded" which seems to matter to all of us. To do that coming from Perth which is probably the most difficult of Australia's cities to develop your motor racing because of isolation/facilities is an admirable achievement in itself.

He'll have 2 years at Red Bull, the second as a courtesy ... then he'll get picked up by a midfield team looking for a bargain for another 1 to 2 years ... and then he'll be out of F1 altogether.

Zero career wins.

@ John

Given the choice between Webber and Ricciardo, RBR would have taken Webber hands down because he is a better driver.
& he won how many races against Seb this year?

Ricciardo has been given one of the top 6 seats without being one of the top 6 drivers. Hulk was far more deserving of that seat..

blah blah blah. you can talk all you want about how he doesn't deserve it and Hulk did, Mark Webber this Mark Webber that. As Richard said I should be realistic, and the reality is, Ricciardo got the seat.Find something else to complain about.
