I'm a huge Kimi fan, etc., etc., but I do agree with the comments above. I think somewhere along the way Vettel's dominant run just blinded us to how good he was, actually winning all those races and not just being visible somewhere else -- it was almost too predictable. In fact, we should have been more impressed with each win, due to the decidedly UNpredictable nature of the rest of the field, and his uncanny ability to remain seemingly more motivated than maybe everyone else.

I think you have to take into account that the votes are taken after each race and wheras seb stood head and shoulders over the entire season, there would be ,in each race, a driver who individually excelled. just because seb outdrove he field, does not mean that a great drive by another driver, punching above his weight, should be ignored.
apart from that, there are some who deliberately wont vote for seb for whatever reason.

JedPB67: For those interested about driver numbers for 2014, so far:

Alonso 14, Raikkonen 7, Perez 11, Rosberg 6, Bottas 77. Massa 19 and Vergne 27.

How can that be confirmed yet? It's not first in best dressed, what if one of the drivers who finished above Vernge, bottas etc wants those numbers..?

what!!! surely lewis hamilton is the most popular driver in the cosmos, how come he didnt win :-D
vettel has the (real/important) accolades everyone else wants. of the rest, i think kimi (or Alonso) has been the best value, and if they go ahead with three car teams i hope ferrari sign seb (or kimi and fernando go to red bull :-))

Really good to see that some on this site is looking at the big picture regards Vettel who had a car that was so far ahead of the rest in his hands and taking it into account . We all know that Vettel is nowhere near as far ahead of the likes of Alonso ,Hamilton and Kimi as his results in the RB9 suggests and crash voters have made that very clear, it seems to be the fanboys no matter how mature they are who will say different and the odd poster who just attacks talent just for the sake of it.
