“It should be the best and fastest team-mate that is available!”

Pmmmf, of course it will be.

If they wanted the fastest driver available they wouldn't have picked you.

He should be in a jail cell rather than on in race car, for GBH in a Singapore nightclub. The owner of the Lotus team (then Renault team) should sue hi for every single penny he has got.

He has absolutely "NO" place on a F1 grid.

I would have thought that was taken for grantage! He's hardly going to say
I signed for Sauber because it was the only team that would have me but I don't expect to score many points because I'm a crap driver in a crap car.
I live to see the day when somebody actually says something like that as it might well be the truth, not that the truth is a word I associate with F1!.

@aldo
Not Singapore, try Shanghai and to be precise, the M1NT club in Shanghai.
And, at the time, it was known as Lotus Renault GP (not Renault).

He has served his (suspended) sentence and paid his 200000€ fine. Why should he be in jail? They'll need the space for Bernie....

While his mother probably loves him, he appears to me to be a rather sour arrogant git (more so than other drivers) who has trouble getting himself and his ego into the car. Sauber will be a less jolly place in 2014.

Sauber are taking step backwards signing him. He has been lack luster in both stints he's had in F1. Much like pastor he brings $ but not much more than that to a team. Well, sans all the wrecks Pastor causes, the team might actually have money to dev the car instead of repairing it.

So many people look up to these drivers, he should of had his super licence suspended when he was charged. It's not like he was charge with j-walking or anything minor like that. It was a very serious charge. There should be no place in F1 for someone like that.
