fullofit. I always thought that lulus hat looked like a French foreign legion kepi....but now you mention it, I think that bob the builder wears one like it, so maybe your work bench analogy is right?

anyway, back to topic. it is good to see that there are still discerning voters around, who have been able to put nico in his correct placing

I presume the remaining five are seb, ferdi, kimi , romain and nico 2. not necessarily in that order.

Hmm, finishes behind his team-mate but crash has him higher, quite laughable but will say he is only driver in the same car who has looked as quick as Lewis or even quicker. One thing, Lewis cant be telling us about getting use to the brakes next season it will be a new start for everyone in this new era of F1.

powertrain. nico WAS the only driver in the same car this year. but if you meant in his career? have you forgotten that ferdi matched him, and button matched him. the simple fact is that lulu has always been "going to destroy his teammate" and in his entire career in f1 has failed to do that.
and as for the comment about brakes? it is pretty poor excuse. he is supposed to be a professional racing driver, and as such it is his job to adapt to the equipment given. in all my years of following f1 , I have never heard of any driver making brakes as his excuse.

nico is derided by many, but he has shown that he is at least the equal to or better of the most vaunted driver of the decade

You have to wonder why Merc are willing to pay Lulu far more than Nico, without the breakdowns and team orders Nico would easily have been ahead in the championship and was clearly the better of the two in the second half of the season. Then you have to consider the level of embarrassment that having Lulu brings to the team, not to mention the sulks, strops and persistent threat of a diva style melt down at any moment. Nico gets his head down and keeps his mouth shut and performs just as well if not better without any of the draw backs.

rob01: its called marketability and Lewis carries a Huge fan base.

Hmm huge enough to vote him 8th best on Crash's driver of the year poll.

Maybe Crash will be good enough to host a most marketable driver of the year award so that Lulu can win something, it's about time he won something to make sense of all the hype, sorry not hype marketability.
